Amana Commercial Quality Dryer taking 2 or more cycles to get the clothes dry. If I open the door mid-cycle, the clothes are hot but by the end they are not dry!!! Electric bill is sky high!!!!!! I have checked the air flow out the vents and the lint screen if clean. What should I do next? Thanks

If it's getting hot and a good air flow, then it should be drying properly.
Is the drum actually turning?

If the drum turns and you have heat, the dryer has to dry. Did you disassemble the dryer to check for obstructions? Most generally the bend below the lint trap and the fan blower are the most common places which can not be see until taken apart. I would also check to make sure there isn't a crimp in the exhaust pipe, especially if it is a flexible one.

Can the drum be not turning fast enough? Would a new belt help? The exhaust pipe is fine. I'll take it apart in more detail and see if I have missed anything. The bend below the lint trap is cleaned and by the fan (found lots of $$) Thanks

Unless the motor isn't working properly the drum should be turning correctly. Nine times out of 10 it's an obstruction somewhere that causes this symptom.

I have taken the dryer apart, cleaned it out and made double certain that the vent to the outside is clear. I have taken the hose off and let the dryer vent into the room, pulling it away from the wall...and still at least 2 cycles to get clothes cry no matter what dryer setting I use. The drum is tumbling and clothes feel hot mid-cycle if I open the door. What else could be the problem? Any ideas??? Thanks
