The rocker switch to the exhaust fan and light failed. It is no longer made. Have to replace with non-original switch. There are four wires to the original switch. A black which is hot, a blue and an orange which I believe to to the exhaust fan on one side and the oven light on the other. What is the white wire for?

This 4 terminals switch is actually 2 switches in one body. One switch supplies the hot line (black wire from the terminal block) to the down draft fan motor and the top elements receptacles (blue wires). The other switch supplies the neutral line (white wire from the terminal block) to the oven light and the door switch (brown wires according to the wiring diagram). Gene.

What is the complete model number?
Why do you need an aftermarket part?

Gene. Hi Gene, thanks for helping out! I have Jenn-air SVD8310S range and it has one of these infamous three way switches on it. The part number for the switch is 12200039; however this part literally doesn't exist ANYWHERE. The best I can do is spend 60 bucks on a custom part (only 2 wires) that controls only a single item (fan or light). I'm looking at Radio Shack for a solution but who knows. I've literally tried EVERYWHERE to find this part or a alternate but it just doesn't exist. I've even been allowed to purchase one only to have someone void my order the next day saying it doesn't exist. Ideas?? Also, if I were to hook up only the Fan to a TWO WAY switch...which wires would I connect to it? (I'll tape off the unused one).

By the way I have 4 wires (Red, White, Brown and Blue). I've found the diagram but I'm not EXACTLY sure which ones I can use for the fan and which ones I can simply wrap up.

Unfortunately this is right - this switch has been discontinued.
Actually this 2 in 1 switch which consists of two switches. According to the wiring diagram the Red & the Blue wires are for the blower motor while the White & the Black wires are for the oven light.
If you would like to verify it, the best way is to trace the wires.
Gene.

Gene, check out hottubworks.com for the 4 terminal rocker switch. I've just got to figure what volt & amp rating is needed.
