Hello,
There is ice building up at the bottom of the tray that collects the ice from my automatic ice maker in my freezer. It seems as if some of the ice in the tray melts, drips out the dispenser hole, and refreezes, causing the ice buildup (which interferes with the opening and closing of the door). The vast majority of the ice in the tray appears totally normal, opaque and white, indicating to me that the freezer is usually cold enough. I recently replaced the defrost heater and the thermostat (limit switch). Could the limit switch not be working correctly, causing the defrost heater to stay on too long? Thanks for your help, this forum is the greatest!

Check if the ice release door in the dispenser is closing properly.
