First things First... how to remove front panell

How do I remove the front panel on my kitchenaid washer? The washer pumps water out but will not spin or agitate. I heard something snap I believe.

before you remove anything lean washer back and look under it for broken pieces of plastic if you see anything its a coupler

There are no broken pices under the wsher. I just leaned it back and checked. Anything else??

Remove the front panel. it's easier than leaning the machine back. Chances are it's the coupler though even if you can't see any pieces. to remove the front panel, use a putty knife about 2 inches from the corners between the top and front panel. Raise the top up and remove the front panel. Nat

I tried to get the front off by using the putty knife. Are you talking about the front of the washer between the top and panel?? All I see is like a plastic piece. Should I be prying the whole plastic piece or between or what??? Help!! Thank you.

ok looking at the top console 2 screws 1 on each end (phillips) remove screws and lift console unplug lid switch from plug..then remove the locks one on each side on cabinet these also snap between cabinet and console then lean cabinet forward and pull it completely off machine .

Yeah WOW!! got it off.. ok can you point me in the direction of the coupler?? and is this something I can fix myself? haha I guess I should have asked that first but I am a pretty determined lady and wasn't going to give up until I figured out how to get the front off!!!

ok now remove pump 2 clips dont remove hoses just let it hang.....next unplug motor harness wires and capacitor wires if it has them only on some models....remove 2 clips on motor with screw driver...remove motor... you can now see broken part it will have 3 parts 2 spiders and 1 black disc remove part from gearcase with screwdriver and from motor .part #for coupler is 285753
