I am having trouble getting water to my ice maker and water dispenser on my Frigidaire FRS22WNC Side by side, after I recently installed an aftermarket inline filter due to bad water taste.
I am not sure if the fridge has its own filter or where it would be located.

The fridge fits in an extremely tight area, but I pulled it out, cut the plastic water line that goes from the wall to the back of the fridge, attached new fittings to the freshly cut hose and inserted the filter (one-piece self contained type). Recharged the line and tried the system out – nothing but a trickle.
Trying to get a cup of water from the dispenser, I can hear the valves working, but just the trickle of water.
Note: I had already prefilled the water tank on the refrigerator side beforehand.

So, I pulled the hose off the filter end going too the fridge, blowing pressurized water everywhere! (damn shut off valve!).
So the filter is working and getting good flow, but what is happening from that point?
Thanks

Model # FRS6LF7FB5

Water does not enter the icemaker. I have shut off for hours to thaw, used hair dryer to heat thinking it was froze up. That was not the problem. I also disconnected the water line coming into the fridge, and disconnected the line going into the icemaker. Blew out with air compressor, seems to be no restriction. Does this mean that the water valve is the problem or is there a swich or relay that could be bad in the icemaker? Water does come to the door for water dispenser, that works fine.

Locate the water inlet valve on the back of the refrigerator. Swap the wires between the water dispenser and ice maker solenoids. Depress the water dispenser lever for a few seconds and check if there is water inside the ice maker.

If there is no water, replace the water inlet valve.

If there is water then the ice maker is the culprit.
