My GE Triton XL won't drain after filling for the wash cycle. I've checked the air gap fitting (No obstruction), and my sink drain is draining just fine. I checked the drain screen and can't see any obvious blockage there.
Is there still something simple I can check or am I looking at replacing parts?
One other thing; My father ran a rinse only cycle and this will not drain either. He said there was no sound coming from the dishwasher at all after the drain was supposed to kick in.

There is a good chance something is clogging your drain pump. You are going to have to remove the water from the dishwasher then remove the hose off the pump and look to see if something is hung in the pump. The drain pump is located to the right of the main pump and the drain hose is attached to it. Dishwasher Repair Guide

Also check where the drain hose connects under the sink for clogs.

Is there an opening behind this or do I need to access it from another spot? Better yet, do you know of a website that will have instructions for this task? (Checking the drain pump)
