Though the microwave is still functiong, there is a small hole burned through the 4"x5" Resin Cover in the cavity of the microwave. It is simple to replace the cover but I am more concerned in what may have created the hole. I wouldn't like to replace the cover just to have the new one get burned. Is this a serious problem or just a fluke? Thanks, dscottjp cbu4ee@att.net

Make sure you clean the complete area inside and out, (unplug the power cord first) with alcohol or a non flammable cleaner, also check for any bare metal spots around the opening and inside the mounting area, and touch up with appliance touch up paint. You should be OK from there on for a while at least.
