I know that when my washer machine shows a 1E error, it means either my lid lock switch or control board is faulty. My only question is, how do I figure out which one? How do I know if it's the lid lock or the control board? Thanks!

If it's less than a year old, call the company for service.

It's actually not. My apologies for not filling in the rest of the information, I didn't feel it was necessary. It most certainly past any point of a manufacturers warranty and I'm ok with replacing either part. I just want to know how to tell which one it would be without calling a servicer out that costs an arm and a leg.

I don't have the info on me since I only have access to the internet while I'm at work. Is there anyway you can answer me with out it? I can tell you it's one of the A/W Stackable Washer and Dryers.

Sorry, No.
Without the brand & the model number it's virtually impossible. Each brand has their own codes and solutions. Write them down and post them when you get to work or if someone else is at home call them afor the information then post.

have a maytag SE9900C and it is displaying 9E however the drier works fine if I do a reset by unpluging the 220v and repluging it.... the issue is that it worked fine by doing that for the past 2 yrs... now the washer is not working?? i thought the 9E was drier related?? 9E appears in dryer display Door switch failure Check door switch wiring or door switch or control board now what do I need to change to have this operating like new :-)

thank you
