My dishwasher has suddenly begun making loud noise when operating. It does not seem to do it during pumping/draining water. Noise seems to be coming from underneath, left side.

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL KUDI01FLSS0 UNDERCOUNTER DISHWASHER | AppliancePartsPros.com

You need to locate what is making the noise.
Remove the kick plate and see if you can isolate it.
Could be something has got into the impeller or may be the motor is going bad.

I've removed the kick plate and it sounds like the motor is making the continuous loud noise. There is also some powder residue like dried mineral deposits around motor. Is there a way to verify that motor is shot before I order and disassemble? Also, are any step by step instructions available for motor replacement?
Thanks,
Scott C.
