My Maytag French Door Refrigerator's ice maker recently stopped making ice. I figured the fill tube was frozen, and, when I prepared to thaw it by turning off the freezer, I discovered that the buttons on the control panel are also not working. The digital display (fridge/freezer temps.) on this panel are working, but the buttons on the panel (door alarm, temperature +/-, vacation mode, etc.) do not.

I've seen some evidence on the web that would indicate that these two problems are related, but nothing concrete. I'm planning to replace the control board behind this control panel (Part Number: AP4358837 by Whirlpool), but would like to hear from others as to whether or not I'm on the right path before I spend $125 on this part. Thanks.

I am having a similar problem with my Frigidaire. No lights or anything working on the control panel. But the ice maker is still making ice.
Can anyone offer a suggestion? Thanks.
