Everything else works great - except no ice dispenses when you press the button on the front of the refrigerator.

Does it dispense water? Does it make any noise when you try to get ice?

Hi Gene,
Thanks for the reply. Yes, it dispenses water, and yes it makes noise, but the auger doesn't appear to be turning.
Thanks! Regina

Hi Regina,
Remove the ice container. Open the freezer door, push and hold the light switch on the door frame, push the ice lever on the dispenser and check if the auger motor will work. Post the results.
Gene.

I have the very same issue and own a GSS20Iepd GE fridge. I removed the ice tray, depressed the freezer light switch and the door plunger while the door was open and the auger is not turning. I hear it humming however. It appears frozen in place. It makes ice OK and the water dispenser works. Freezer is set at setting 4 out of 9. Any help would be appreciated.

Repeat the steps mentioned above and check for 120VAC coming to the motor. If there is 120VAC then replace the auger motor. - The part number for the auger motor is AP4337288 Gene.

You probably looking at the wrong part. As you can see this motor has only two terminals. Gene.
