The DW does not drain. I have disconnected the drain line at the disposal and under the DW. Whether the DW is trying to drain or if it is just sitting there, the same amount of water trickles out of the drain line under the machine.

The motor is turning and the machine will wash.

Any ideas?

sounds like a possible obstruction in the pump or the pump drain line. you could tear down the pump and look for gunk build-up,and clean it out, a small a small 1/2" diamater brush to clean out the pump discharge would help. good luck and post your findings here

Just to ad my 2 cents...

Unscrew the check valve (#15 on the break down diagram) and clean it. Most likely the problem is there. Make sure there is no water in the dishwasher before you do it.

Here are the brake down diagrams for the Kitchen Aid dishwasher Model KUDS24SEBL1

I removed the check valve, (after removing all the inside stuff also) there was a cherry pit stuck right behind the check valve, now it works!!!!

Thanks

Keith

Hi Keith,

We're glad you were able to fix it.
