this oven often displays the power fail code, and also at times during the middle of baking just turns off. The display will fail completely randomly with no characters at all. We must push the "bake" button multiple times for any display to reappear.

is the problem with the control board?

It is possible, check your connections see if they are loose or corrodid.

i took the top of the oven apart but do not see how to remove the control board. what holds it on? i dont see any screws.
