I bought this machine back in '01 and it worked great for about three years. Then the motor controller went out. I replaced it. At the time I was told that I would probably need to replace the timer because they both tend to go out at the same time.
At this point, I've checked the drain hoses and pulled them off. I'm going to try to check the drain pump itself to see if it's working (power wise), though I'm slightly hopeless at that. I did read the article in the forum and I'm going to go home and give it a go.
However, I wan't to know if this is possible the motor controller again (which interestingly costs about 80 MORE dollars than the last time I replaced it). Or could it be the timer? What indicates a timer failure?
The machine does advance through cycles until the end, just won't spin or drain.
Anyway, at this point I just want to know what I should be thinking of next (motor controller vs. timer).
TIA , jan
