I have a Sear gas dryer model 110.72956100. It does not heat up enough. I replaced both the coils and the flame sensor I purchased here. That did not solve the problem. I removed the front panel and watched what was happening. The glow ring will come on and ignight the gas. It stays lig for about 10 to 15 seconds then goes out. This then repeates again. I replaced the Thermistor and the High-temperature Thermostat from here. That did not solve the problem. I don't know where to go from here.

Eeorr, Have you checked the operation and heat with the exhaust vent disconnected? Have you checked the blower housing and exhaust pipe in the unit for clogs or damaged fins on the blower wheel, and a tight seal on the seals at the blower housing and drum ? Part number: AP3037418
You may have a bad contact in the temperature switch, but that's a rare occurrence. Good Luck, :) :) :)

My father did plumbing, heating and wiring. He taught me to check the simple things first. One of those was the fuse (this was before breakers). Well, I was too smart for this problem. I read earlier to check the vent. I knew that it wasn't the vent because I replaced it not that long ago. Based on your last reply, I disconnected the vent and ran the dryer successfully. I took apart the vent. It had some lint in it and I cleaned it out. Yet I knew that there wasn't enough to cause my problem. I went outside in the deep snow to check the end. The exit cage was packed about a 1/2" thick with lint. There was my problem. I cleaned it and everything is great. Thanks!

Too bad you had to hoof it through the snow, but you should probably check and clean that cage often, depending on how much laundry you do. It was our pleasure to assist you. Good Luck, :) :) :)
