I own a Kirland washing machine, the machanism that activates the machine is loose it is located under the the cover or the top of the washing machine. My problem is I dont know how to open the cover of the washing machine can anyone advise me as to how to open the cover of the machine so that I can access the loose part.

I can't pull up your model number but, since it's made by whirlpool, there should be a couple of cilps between the top & front of the machine about 2 inches in from the corners use a putty knife to release these and raise the top.
Hope that helps you.
