there is power to the electronic control unit for our range/oven. Everything indicates that it should be working as it did the day before but now no burners work. In the oven or on the stove top. The light to the oven doesn't even work. The only thing that works is what's on the control panel (indicator lights, clock, etc). Is this a bad relay or what?

Odds are that you have a power problem.
Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times, sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker. If this does nothing, check the voltage at the plug L1 to L2 should be 240 volts L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts. If OK Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out If OK Check the power at the terminal strip. Be careful as 240 volts is lethal !!! |

thanks for the advice!! I went to pull out the stove and it sparked. Shut off the breaker and took off the cover for adding the power cable and found one side "falling" out. It was not in place like the others. Will have to get another "holder" as hooked all back up and everything works now.
