Hey everyone, I have a Whirlpool Gold Series Accu-bake Electric Oven/Range, Model #GLSP84900 (might be a Canadian-market specific model number).Anyways, when I attempt to run a cleaning cycle on the oven the following happens:
- The oven latches shut no problem
- Clean cycle begins for about 10 minutes
- Oven Errors out with E0 F5 error, sometimes I've seen E1 F5.
After the cool-down, the oven unlatches itself. So it appears to me that the locking latch is working fine, so why is it erroring out? I assume it's because my door switch (one that activates the light) is fritzing out or dead now - How do I replace it, and where can I find it?Thanks!

That has often been a problem with using the self clean..... Oven heat escapes from the oven door or the exhaust air flow is interrupted during the self-clean cycle and trips the oven Therm-O-Disc. Perform the following checks and adjust/repair as needed: 1. Check to see if the door opens beyond a 90º angle. 2. Check for damage to the door gasket. 3. Check the oven venting (obstruction in the vent or smoke eliminator, crushed, separated or incorrectly assembled vent, etc.). 4. Check the Blower Fan to see if there is a misalignment. 5. Check for the correct (part number)TOD. 6. A power interruption during use can and will cause the TOD or control fuse to open. 7. The oven should not be installed in a corner. 8. If all these check OK, replace the blower assembly. nat

It is in between two counters, but not in a corner... 8. If all these check OK, replace the blower assembly. nat
Nat, Thanks for the reply! What if I check all this and there is no problems? I have put my responses in red in the quotes above. Do you think it could have to do with the door switch not working? Could you tell me how to replace that?
