ALL cycles work fine on machine except spin, which does spin OK. You get a very violent clunk when it 1st starts into the spin cycle & about every 5-7 seconds after that while the machine is spinning. Tub breaks & starts up fine. Acts almost like is being hit with something when the clunk happens. You can see the agitator jerk for just a second when it happens too. Happens whether clothes in it or not & does not matter what the water level or temp is. Can not seem to see or find any broken, bent or loose parts by visual inspection. Someone please help, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :(

Sounds like the balance ring is messed up.

Sorry to sound stupid, but a balancer ring is? & how hard would it be to determine if that is the problem. Don't know much about washers.

Here's the breakdown of your machine. Model GSQ9364HQ0 Unfortuneatly the balance ring only comes with the basket on your model. It's also possible the it be #19.
I'm still reviewing. If you want I can "talk" you through a few steps to check.

That's not a problem. I'm on here a lot through out the day and evenings, except Friday nights, have to go to son's football games and some weekends.
It's 10:30 here too!
Will you need detailed instructions for getting into the machine? I will try to locate the service manual for your machine.

Was thanked: 2 time(s) in 2 post(s)
Pull the agitator out and check the drive block for play. Just try to turn the spin basket back and forth tho check. If bad, you will need a new drive block AP2905773 and the special spanner wrench.
