I have a Whirlpool RF196LXQ1 that the control panel lights do not work.The Top burners work fine but the burner lights will not come on either.Also the oven dont work and the oven light burns out as soon as you push the rocker switch on for the oven light.I checked the power and I have 240 to the board.Could someone please help with the trouble shooting.

How did you check the voltage to the control board?

There is a letter missing in the model number you posted. Verify and repost it please.

I went back and looked and the model # is RF196LXK.Im getting the # from the book that came with it.I cannot find a # on the stove at all.The contol part # is PS985982.I checked the voltage at the plug that plug into the board.Thanks for your time.

Does the stove have a in line fuse somewhere for this coltroller?I know that the power leaving the board going to the oven light and the lights on the controller is not 240v.Need some help Please

The model number should be on the oven door frame or on the frame behind the bottom drawer.

There are no fuses or any other safety devices, so if the display is blank then most likely the problem is a bad control board.

If you need the correct part number then try to find the complete model number.

Here is the correct Model # RF368LXKQ They are no lights on the controller,the light in the oven blows as soon as it is turned on,and the hot suurface light does not work either.Neeed the oven before the weekend please help.

Very likely there is something wrong with the neutral line to the range. You may want to check it at the outlet.

That fixed the light but the controller still dont work.Could that have damage the controller.

I repaired the Neutral and that fixed the 120v to the oven light and the surface hot lights.I had to purchase a a control board to get the oven to work.Its all repaired now.Thanks
