I would reverse the connections just to see if you get any water in the IM. But unitl you get an extra set of hands look at the fill to for the IM and see if it's frozen or anything. I try the tape on the IM to see if it's cycling.

I looked at the fill tube and it is not frozen. I also pushed the light button and pushed the flapper shut and nothing cycles. I just now unplugged it for a minute and tried again and nothing.

I have the same model Whirlpool refrigerator Model ED5SHAXMQ and same problem - no ice. My water works fine to the door dispenser.

My problem - no water is getting to the tray.

Maybe this is a silly question ... but .... is there supposed to be a thin metal arm attached to the left side of the unit?

Ron,
the problem is with the icemaker not your valve. Has it dumped the ice yet?

Dawn yes there is a bail arm (metal wire) that raises & lowers down into the ice pan. If it's gone or up the IM will not make ice.

No problem, just too bad you bought a valve you didn't need yet. Hold onto it, you may later ;)

Nat,

AppliancePartsPros is taking the valve back with no problems. Seems like a good company.
Thanks Again
