The quartz element no longer lights on the 5th and 6th settings of the switch- the ones used most often. Common?? Will a new switch fix or could it be the element?

Most likely the problem is a bad switch but there is a small chance for the heating element too.

- The part number for the 10 step switch is AP2825518
