Replace Timer Switch due to dishwasher continues cycle even after the cycle was completed. After cycle is complete, approx 5 minutes later the the timer starts all over again for another cycle automatically. Any suggestions on what else could cause this to happen?

You will probably have tp join the site to get the manual but is is a good site with lots of info for the appliance DIYer.

It does sound like a timer problem.
T2 contacts may be stuck closed.
See Page 4-10 in the manual.

Did I mis-understand your post and you have already replaced the timer?

You have pretty well stumped me.

Did this unit work OK for you in the past?

I even got out the colored pencils and colored in the Neutral and Hot wires on the wiring diagram but cannot see any component that could keep power to the timer when it is at the off position.

Could be something with the 6 button switch though for the life of me I cannot see how it is getting power to the timer motor.
Perhaps try different settings on it.

Could be a couple wires are shorted together keeping power always on the right hand side of the timer motor.

Hopefully someone else will jump in with some new ideas!!

Deman, thank you for all your responses. here is an update, I replaced the timer 3 times thinking 1 may have been a defect, still has the problem. One thing I noticed is when the timer gets to the off position and I hear it click to off but timer still running, i open the door and close it and timer stops moving. So I replaced the door switches, that didn't help either. Seems like when in the off position and i open the door, it breaks the circuit with power and timer stops.

Yes it will stop the timer as it kills power to the whole unit.

I still cannot find any way that the timer motor is getting power when it should not.

Perhaps try different options on your 6 button switch.
