I have a gas valve for one of the burners that occasionally lets gas seep out at the burner when the burner is off. I have purchased a new valve to replace the old one but I cannot get the stove top apart. Can someone please give me instructions on how to get access to the valve so I can replace it. Thanks.

By the way, the stove top is sitting on my workbench.

Sorry about false alarm. I succeeded in getting it apart and the valve has been replaced. Turned out that you do NOT have to remove entire cooktop as I had done. I made extra work for myself. No more gas odor with new valve.
