Hi folks

One of my friends has a 4 year old Whirlpool side by side refridgerator/freezer.

The unit has an in-the-door ice and water dispenser.

The ice maker is functioning properly, but the water dispenser is not working.

There are no unusual noises etc. We have replaced the filter.

What should be checked next?

Thanks and best regards -

I just fixed the same problem on a GE side by side with an idea found by searching this site. I used a marinade syringe with hot water and squirted it up the opening while pressing the actuator. The tube had an ice blockage which was cleared in about four squirts. Others suggested hair dryers or leaving the door open but I happened to have the syringe and it worked great.
best of luck.
