Hi everyone! I will admit I know basically nothing about this stuff, but my dad does, so I wanted to ask a question about the agitator on my washer since he is going to try and fix it for me. The agitator has stopped working. I can hear the motor running, but it seems that the agitator is not catching the part that makes it agitate, so while reading these forums and some others it seems to be determined that the coupling air bell has worn since it is plastic and can no longer catch on the agitator (if you think this is wrong please let me know!) My confusion has come from how to actually get the agitator off, some say you can pull it straight off, others say there is a bolt on the bottom you have to remove before you can get the agitator off? We have been trying to get this agitator off for 2 days now and have not had much luck... the model number is WKSR2100TBWW. I admit I really don't know how old it is since I did get it second hand, but it does not seem to be more than 10 years old.. if anyone can give some advice on getting off this agitator I would really appreciate it! Thank you all so much!

Tiffany, If you look here is a complete breakdown of your machine Model WKSR2100TBWWA few more questions... Did the washer spin? Did it drain the water out? Did you try other cycles? If not check the belt first see if looks good and tight. Your agitator does lilft straight out, if you're haaving problems getting it out place a looped rope under the agitator as close to the center as possible and use a 2x4 to pry it up. you may want toplace a folded towel or something so not to scrath the top of the washer. Let us know if we can be of any additional help. Nat

Thank you so much for responding so quickly Nat!! OK some answers to your questions:
A few more questions... Did the washer spin? Yes, the washer spins fine Did it drain the water out? yes, it also drains out the water fine Did you try other cycles? The agitator is not working on any cycle.
Another thing is when I press down on the agitator it works... when I don't press down on it, it doesn't.
I am going to try the rope with the wood.... My dad is coming over this afternoon so we will try that. If you have any more suggestions please let me know! Thank you so much!

Order a #310 drive bell, THAT IS your problem!!!!! Put both arms into the washer, get your fingers under the agitator, 180degrees apart, and YANK!!!! It will come off, just be careful not to get it in the face!!!

Well, sorry it took me so long to reply back, but it was the air bell coupling part that was broken. My dad and my brother finally were able to get the agitator off, after both of them pulling up and it clocking my dad in the head :( he is ok though, just a little bump, (though I wasn't happy he got hurt) it didn't seem to phase him much... We pulled out the old part and all the little teeth things were gone- can you tell I really don't know much about this..haha! He put in the new piece (and yes, it was part 310) and it works like new now! So, thank you all for your responses and your help!! I'm so happy I have a working washer again :)
