We bought another ice dispenser motor to replace the one we had replaced last year. It should have been easy to replace but the shaft that drives the augers is frozen/rusted solidly onto the motor and we can't figure out how to remove it to put in the new motor. The shaft travels throughout the fridge door before going into the motor so we can't even get it out to apply any kind of force to get it unstuck. Any thoughts?

I have the same problem. 2nd time in 5 yrs. Last time the tech had to use a reciprocating saw to cut the shaft in very tight quarters. Any better solution?
