I am stumped I read all the posts for the spring replacement but I cant get the vent off the bottom. The pictures were great in one of the posts but they were for a microwave combo Over/Under. What I have is a Microwave/Convection Oven.
Can anyone tell me how to get the vent of the bottom so I can access the screws that hold the black plastic shield?

No! I still cant get the vent off the bottom to expose the bottom screws on the door. I am about to call the repair service. Hope the will use my part. I would have thought that the Appliance Part Pros would have chimed in on this. I did buy the part from them.

Sorry to hear that. I have not tried yet as I need to buy the part. Did you buy two springs and which ones did you buy from this site? I am confused a little on which ones to buy or does the part number of SS include the two springs or do I need one of each part number?

I was lucky when the spring broke the end dropped out.
It painted blue. So I bought it, its AP3082257 (4452396) - Spring, torsion ( right hand) Blue Tip. Unfortunately I have no answers on how to install it. There was a post about buying a hinge pin kitI would call appliancepartspros.com before you buy the part. If you can't install it then you have to call for service and they may give you a hassle about using your part.
