Oven heats but temperature is incorrect; twice the oven shut off and got a "Feature Not Available" on the control panel. I reset the power, later got a 1D11 error code, which is for "runaway oven temperature". I set the temperature to 500 degrees, the temperature climbed smoothly to about 325, and then rapidly ran up to 500 degrees on the panel, although actual oven temperature stayed about 300.

I checked the resistance on the temperature sensor, which seems to be OK at about 1,200 ohms. Do I need to replace the control panel, or is there something else wrong?

Recheck the oven temperature sensor. The normal resistance should be about 1100 Ohms at the room temperature. If it reads 1200 Ohms then it can be a problem. Otherwise replace the control board.

Thanks Gene. I ordered a new temperature sensor. The resistance was identical to the one I removed from the oven, but I installed the new one anyway, and that solved the problem. Thanks for the help.
