My Kenmore dryer will run for a while, then just stop running. After the dryer sits for while, I can press the start button and it will run again, but just for a short while.

The motor is over heating, and shutting down. You can check the vent to the outside, and try cleaning the motor free of lint, so it could breath. Other then that, the motor will need to be replaced. Tom www,applianceeducator.com/parts.htm
