I've blown two high temperature thermal fuses (350 degrees) within 6 weeks and it's getting very expensive since high and low temperature fuses only sold in pairs. Arggg ! Upon replacing the first blown fuse, I cleaned all lint from heat chamber, blower, filter area, and short duct to outside. Air flow appears good out of house. Heater element is solid and not touching chamber and no debris present.
Measurements appear within range: heater is 9 ohms; variable temperature selector is 5 ohms to 11K ohms, and thermostat heater is 3.68K ohms. Dryer is often run at higher temperature settings. Could thermostats be defective by not cycling ? How is this tested at highest heat setting ? Duty cycle ? Have I missed anything else in circuit that could cause problem ? Thank you,

Disconnect the vent hose from the dryer and measure the air temperature at the dryer outlet. If it's more than 150°F then replace the cycling thermostat (#8 on the break down diagram). - The part number for the cycling thermostat is AP3115922 Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool dryer Model LE7800XSW3Gene.
