My ice maker seems to operate correctly, as in it makes ice and drops ice, it's just that it only does it 3-4 times in a 24 hour period. Water comes through the door fine and the hose tying into the back of the fridge is not kinked. Are there any diaognostics I could perform to eliminate the problem?
Thanks, Kris

Possible the thermostat, built in the ice maker, is faulty and reads the temperature wrong. Even the thermostat can be replaced separate I would recommend to replace the whole ice maker due to very poor success rate of such repairs. - The part number for the ice maker is AP2984633 - The part number for the thermostat is AP3135377 Gene.
