Maytag Electric Dryer shuts off after 5 to 20 seconds. I can start it repeatedly and the exact same thing happens. Dryer operates normally before it shuts off. There is no unusual sound and the dryer discharges warm air before it shuts off. When I operate it without heat the same thing happens. The door closes properly and stays closed. I tried checking service codes using the instructions in the service manual but cannot enter service mode (and some of the lights do not light up when I turn the dial). Is the problem the control board? Maytag MDE4658AYW

The control part # is 37001286. It sounds like a relay on the board is kicking out. Tom Appliance Educator, Appliance Parts, Washer and Dryer Parts, Refridgerator and Freezer Parts, Stove and Oven Parts

Thanks Tom: I ordered and replaced the control board and the now dryer works perfectly.
