HAVE A KITCHEN AID SUPERBA Replaced control board 260.00 today husband, installed, error code F2 E1 won't clear. First when you turn power on it comes up (PF) then acts like it wants to work, then door acts like it wants to lock on oven and it goes to F2 E1 in the clock window and nothing else comes on. The burners all work I have used them the past two days until I could get the control board. Now I have a new control board and no oven working.

What was the original problem with the unit? Was it the F2E1 error? What prompted you to replace the control board?
F2 is a keyboard problem but these touch panels are difficult to troubleshoot due to their complexity. |

F2 is a keyboard problem but these touch panels are difficult to troubleshoot due to their complexity. The display was going dim all of a sudden, and my husband took it apart to check it out and when you would move the white connect wired harness a spark would happen on the board. So we searched around for help on the topic and I had even been complaining for a few months I didn't think my oven was heating like it use to, it took alot longer to reach the temperature I thought. Is the two Ribbon cables the connection between the touchpad and the control board it doesn't come off it is on the glass panel with the knobs. or is the white wiring harness the connection? I'm just asking, my husband is good at repairing things and this oven has him stumped as to what the problem is.

Here are your parts Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL KESC307HWW8 | AppliancePartsPros.comHere is a service manual https://secured.whirlpoo...c71be9b85256f010054ceda/$FILE/ELERANGE.pdf Here is the tech sheet, see the attachment. Is the two Ribbon cables the connection between the touchpad and the control board it doesn't come off it is on the glass panel with the knobs. or is the white wiring harness the connection? I am not sure what you mean by the above. The ribbon cables are hard wired to the keyboard. Have you tried removing power from the unit for 10 minutes or so and then trying it again to see if it will reset. These things are very sensitive to ground connections so I would check all connections which go to the frame. You may want to try the following. Connector Cleaning / Checking Unplug the unit Open it up Remove the ribbon cable from the keypad to the control board at the control board. Clean the edge connector. If it is the type where there is not a connector just the insulation is removed, it can be cleaned with a pencil eraser. Do not use an ink eraser as it is too abrasive. Check the tracks in the ribbon cable for hairline cracks. A magnifying glass helps here. Would not hurt to clean the connector on the board. Use electronics contact cleaner or isopropyl alcohol and a tooth brush. Be gentle and do not reconnect till all the solvent evaporates. Reconnect everything and give it a try. |

You just need to clean front glass touch panel with warm water to remove finger print (it act like somebody touch the key permanently) Try this solution before open and change the control board, save you alot of money and fustration, good luck
