I was baking when I tripped a breaker. Once it was reset the Electronic Oven Control was blank. I unplugged it and replugged back in. Still nothing. The oven light works. Some one told us (not an expert) that it was the electronic board and was not worth fixing. The range was purchased in July 2005. ANy suggestions.

Thank you

Here is a service manual

Unplug the unit and check the control board and the wiring to it,
Try to find out what caused the breaker to blow.
It does sound like you will need a new control board.

One thing to look for are fuses built into the wires going to the control board sometimes they add these without documenting them.

On whether it is worth repairing only you can say. Depends on how much a replacement would cost you, what kind of shape the unit is in. how much you like the unit and if you have the dollars for a new unit.
