What happens in the agitate cycle? no noises, no nothing Does the motor hum, or even attempt to run ? My best guess, at this point, probably a bad control board or a bad transmission, if the motor runs. Based on the information you've given,so far. I took off the agitator/etc and the part underneath I would call the gear (fits inside the agitator) agitated fine. So I put the old agitator on and nothing. The 'splines' on the gear were fine so I bought a new agitator as they appeared to be worn out and hopefully tonight we'll be washing again. Thanks for the try though. Tim
