The "Lock On" light will not clear. I have pressed the "No Heat / Dry" button for the stated 4 sec. to clear, disconnected power (up to 12 hours) and checked all connections on Control Board and it will not clear. "Cancel" button works and only causes "Cancel" and "Lock On" lights to blink.

Is there a way to determine an error code or clear error? I assume Control Board may be bad, but the Control Board (Part #: 9744031) from "Sears On Line" says it is "discontinued" and replacements are not available.... or is it possibly a bad pad on the "Console Assembly" (Part #: 3384236, almond)?

Thanks in advance

there is a difference between the control panel & control board. Are you sure which you need?

I assume I need the control board. However, if the touch pads on the Console Panel are bad, wouldn't they cause the control board to not operate properly? So at this point I'm not sure which one I need...

Remove the plate at the bottom of the dishwasher and look for the tech sheet.

It will tell you how to test it.

Looks like this is the part sears can no longer get.

Thanks ApplianceJunk,

I found the Tech Sheet. Determined that by pressing the key pad sequences nothing happens, it appears the keypad is not working except for the "Cancel" key. Here is what I found so far.

The Lock On light stays lit until Cancel is pressed, then both Cancel and Lock On lights blink until I reset (open door for several minutes or ermove power). No other lights work on panel at any time, Dishwasher does nothing...

My sister in law has same unit, was going to swap Control Panel to verify if this is the problem, any thoughts or cautions?

Thanks again
