The dryer will not work, hitting the start button only results in an electrical type buzz. Door switches checked etc. Drum turns freely.

I would start by checking the thermal fuse part #AP276787 in the back of the machine. Does the drum turn after pushing start, just not heating? Or is it doing anything when start pushed?

Is the buzz you hear the end of cycle buzzer or more like the motor is stuck and buzzing?

Yes, sounds like end of cycle alarm.
