I have a magic chef frige thats driving me nuts. Compressor runs than overloard kicks out. I replaced the reley and overload. Can a cap, even though omes test out ok still be the problem? Any help would be apprecieted.

Defrost and temp controls OK, compressor tests ok but will not start. You can turn frige off. leave it set than sometimes it will start and run, other times it hums and kicks off on overload. Agravating to say the least..

Yes it could be the capacitor. When changing the relay/overload it's best to replace the capacitor too.
