Quick Question..........I have a bad thermal cutoff switch(Part Number: AP3094244 made by WHIRLPOOL) and I have verified everything else I can easily get to. I have already ordered the above part as it reads open, but I am wondering if I can short the two wires that would normally connect to this switch just to try the dryer for ten seconds to see if all else is okay?

Thanks in advance,

Dave

Don't short the terminals, unplug the dryer, and take the two wires off, and put a jumper wire in the terminals, and then go for it. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
