We bought our Jenn-Air in 1995. For the first 10 years, it was rock solid. For the last five years, nothing but trouble. We love it enough tot keep it, and can not find anything else to replace it.

On to todays issue.....the oven shuts off every couple minutes. I can program it to bake, convect bake, broil, convent roast and so on with no problem. It comes on, heats up, then just shuts off with no error code on the display. So I program it back up, and it resumes. I play this game on and off for about 10 minutes, then those buttons become completely unresponsive for about two minutes. After that two minutes, they work fine again and I resume the game of programming, waiting for it to shut off, programming again, and so on.

My first instinct is to replace the Electronic oven control assembly, part number AP4088560 since that is the part we have been replacing almost yearly now since 2005 or so. But that is replaced usually after getting the FC and/or F5 codes.

Is it AP4088560 again? If so, I'll order the part again from this site. But this time, I have to do the work, so I need some help with instructions. I looked all over for the service manual on this oven, but I can not find it.

Thanks for your help and suggestions.

I should also mention that we had a huge fire in the oven about two months ago.

I popped off the front display to look at the control board between the knobs. Everything looks fine. There are no burn marks, nothing is out of the ordinary.
