I have a 5 or 6 year old front load Frigidaire washer.
After overloading the washer, it started to make a thumping noise and shaking in the spin cycle. In the other cycles it is very quiet. After this event, once, it washed a load without any sound, but then it started again and since then it is still making that terrible thumping noise. Only in the spin cycle, it makes about 3-5 thumps per second. I couldn't detect where the sound is comming from but it feels like the two drums are hitting each other. And the clothes looks like more wet.
I research the forum and follow some advices such as leveling the legs, pushing the weights and tightening the nuts. After that shaking is a little better but thumping is still there. Also pulley and belt seems fine (no sound without the belt). Struts and springs looks working. I checked inside of the drum to see something stuck between the two drums, but It is not possible to see anything.
A local service asked $50 to check it. Machine itself worths less than $200.
Is there any other thing that I can check to fix it by myself ? or use local service or replace it ?
Any advice is appreciated. thanks. ilker.

The short answer is replace it. The rear bearings on these models go bad, and the part requires replacing the rear half of the drum. The supports structure may also be bad.
It is the holiday season, make a present to yourself of a new machine.
