My 18" DW is identical in parts to the Frigidaiare FDS251RJR0. It was giving me a grinding noise, so I disassembled down to the motor/pump housing (part # 154582601). The plastic impeller looking device, which sits directly on top of the motor and has the metl motor shaft running through it, overheated and snapped. Try as I might, I cannot find any source for just the plastic piece. In all the pictures and diagrams I've seen, it is part of the pump/motor assembly (part number above). This plastic peice can't cost more than $10, which is a far cry better than the $110 it will cost me to get a whole new pump (not to mention I I don't need a pump). Does anyone know a source to get this plastic piece only, or where to turn to for better information? Here is a diagram of the pump, located on the 2yth page (A-10) of the pdf: http://www.frigidaire.com/tip/s...shwashers/5995371183.pdf

did you find a solution? I have the same dishwasher with the same problem. It's really a poor design, but I need the part too or will have to buy a complete new motor to fix it.

I paid a repairman to come out and fix it. It's just the way they are built, unfortunately. I recommend getting a quote or two, then ordering it yourself and installing yourself. You could of course take this route without the quotes, but if you hang them on the fridge it will be great motivation!
