sorry, not to be rude over the title, i am just frustrated that this happened so close to christmas :( i truly would appreciate any help given..

Ok, when i push the bake button it comes on but the temp raises to 500 where it stops, i can than push the cancel button and it will turn off, when i push the broil button it does nothing, yesterday it started doing this but none of the buttons world work, i left it unplugged over night and this morning after plugging it in, its been working the way i described earlier in this post, after pushing the bake button and the cook temp starts to rise i can push the (lower temp) button and it will stop on a number but after i release it just shoots back up the max(500) cook temp, if anyone has any clues please explain or if more information is needed let me know and ill provide it.
thank you, renessa.

It sounds like your clock/timer (Item 20 in Section 1) is no good.

The reason I say that is that you can get it to stop at a certain temperature so the sensor is probably OK. All that is left then is the clock which controls the temperature.

Probably would not be a bad idea to also get a new overlay.

The following may help.
