The dryer vent was plugged but we resolved that, vacuumed all lint out of trap and under the dryer. We also took out the igniter and the part that contains the flame is burnt and warped. The igniter coil is working just not the flame

Any suggestions?

If the ignitor works, I would replace the coils on the gas valve. Every once in awhile the whole gas valve is bad. But, I would go with the coils. Tom Appliance Educator, Appliance Parts, Washer and Dryer Parts, Refridgerator and Freezer Parts, Stove and Oven Parts
