Consumer Reports rated this refrigerator high. But a user on the CR forums says: "NEITHER ONE! .... those are from Electrolux Corp - - - you will not like your decision after a very short interval!"
I was ready to buy it and it looked like a good price for a stainless steel frig. Plus it is Energy Star compliant.
Any comments? Where else can i go or what else can i do before making a decision?
Thanks!

Frigidaire has had a lot of problems with compressors. Recent experience shows little compressor problems for the last two years. If fridg is older than say 3 years old, you might have a compressor problem. Usually, if you measure the freezer temperature with the cold control turned up, you should see a temperature between 0 and 5 degrees. Anything higher is marginal.

Do the freezer test I suggested, if you get a full one year warranty and the price is well below 1/2 new price,I might buy it. Remember, Frigidaire is still has a bad reputation. A lot of persons have bought Kenmore refrigerators to learn later they bought a Frigidaire with a sad history of compressor failures.
