Hello,
I have recently noticed that my electric dryer has a significant gap along the back edge of the lint filter. It's about 1/8" wide and runs the whole length of the filter. Neither the filter nor the assembly it plugs into appears damaged.

There was quite a bit of lint built up inside the dryer and the hose, and it sprays more out the outside vent that I would expect.

Is this normal for this model of dryer?

Thank you,
Andrew

I should mention that I bought a new lint filter from APP and it is exactly the same as the old one. (I suspected the old one was an ill-fitting replacement.)
