Hello!

I have a fridge and freezer problem. I have a freezer on top Kenmore. It doesn't seem to be holding temp all the time.

Last Sunday it was 62 degrees inside the fridge. The freezer had completelt melted some liquid items I had stored. I did not hear it running. I emptied the freezer and went to get a friend.

Within the 45 minutes it took me to get back home, the freezer had started working again and was cold. The fridge was still too warm. The friend didn't see anything wrong except for a lot of pet gair on the condenser colis. He vacuumed off as much as he could, turned the fridge thermostat dial to a "cooler" setting, and after a few hours everything was fine. The fridge became too cold (almost to freezing) so I reduced the temp on the thermostat dial to a "warmer" setting.

A week went by with no problems.

Yesterday, it all happened again. Fridge was 65 degrees. My husband blew out more debris off the coils with the shop vac since we couldn't vacuum it all out and then turned it to a colder setting. Again, today it seems to be fine now and the fridge was getting to cold again (33 degrees), so I put it on a warmer setting.

I am concerned that this will keep happening. What is causing my problem?

PS--It used to make a very loud noise sometimes when it started and stopped cycles---a loud thunking (that went on for about a year)---it doens't seem make that noise anymore that I have heard, but now this other issue is happening.

The back of the inside of the freezer is clean. Is that where you meant to look? If so, no ice build up there.

Any more ideas?
