Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 8/25/2008(UTC) Posts: 7		I recently purchased and replaced the solenoid and drain valve arm (& seal) on my GE dishwasher However, the new solenoid plunger keeps popping right out of the solenoid when it tries to drain...Any suggestions?

Yes, it goes down - but after drain it goes back up and flies out of the solenoid and lands on the floor

Rank: Advanced Member Groups: Senior Expert Joined: 5/28/2008(UTC) Posts: 1,620		I think that is your problem, If you don't get that shaft back in through the flapper assy inside the pump assy, than this will happen. If you want to try to get it back in properly, you will need to remove the motor/pump assy and do it this way. If you can't get it in, and I never have been able to, you will need to install a new motor/pum assy.
