I have a Kenmore wall oven Model No. 911.47822100. For some time the oven has been beeping and displaying a F0 code. I was told by a service person, authorized Kenmore repair man, that I needed to replace the ERC. I ordered and replaced the ERC, but the oven is still displaying the same code. I was told by your customer service people that you might be able to help me determine if the ERC that I purchased is bad, or if there is the error is being caused by another part (I have a feeling it could be the key pad?).

It is most likey going to be the touch pad. Which will be the whole front control panel. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

Gene and Tom, thanks for the replies. The control panel is white. I believe that the part number is WB36T10444. Is there any test I can perform to determine if the problem is with the control panel, and not the ERC, short of replacing the panel and seeing if that fixes the problem? These parts are fairly expensive. Thanks again.

You can do a simple test, but it does not 100% prove which part is bad.
Open the control panel and unplug the control panel ribbon from the control board (ERC). Restore the power and monitor the oven for one or two days. If the error code returns then the ERC is bad. If it would not, then the control panel is bad.
Also all GE (manufacturer of your oven) instructions referred this error code to a 50/50 chance to either of the control panel or ERC to be bad. You already replaced the ERC and now is the control panel turn.

Well, I unplugged the ribbon, and it started beeping and showed the F0 code within five minutes. Unfortunately, it appears that I still don't know if it is the pad or the ERC - although it seems unlikely that I would get a bad ERC as a replacement for the original. Thanks.

I am going to go ahead and return the ERC and replace the control pad. Even if I end up replacing both parts - I'll still come out ahead of having someone repair it for me.
